1. About DentNow

DentNow (www.dentnow.co.uk) is a booking marketplace that connects patients seeking emergency dental care with independent, GDC-registered dental practices ("Practices") that have same-day or short-notice availability. DentNow is a technology platform only - we are not a dental practice, and we do not provide dental treatment or clinical advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over, or booking on behalf of a person in your care, to use DentNow. By using the site you confirm the information you provide is accurate.

3. How bookings work

When you book through DentNow, you are entering into an arrangement directly with the chosen Practice. DentNow facilitates the introduction and booking, but the Practice is solely responsible for the dental treatment, advice and care you receive.

4. Practice verification

Practices listing availability on DentNow must provide a valid General Dental Council (GDC) registration number as part of sign-up. We take reasonable steps to verify this information, but patients should independently confirm a Practice's registration via the GDC website (gdc-uk.org) if they have any concern.

5. Cancellations and no-shows

Cancellation and rescheduling policies are set by each Practice. Please contact the Practice directly as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a booking. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book through DentNow in future.

6. Fees and payments

At this time, DentNow does not process any online payments. Any fees for treatment are handled directly between you and the Practice. This section will be updated once online payment is enabled, including details of any booking fees.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DentNow is not liable for the acts, omissions, treatment outcomes or professional conduct of any Practice. Any complaint about clinical care should be raised directly with the Practice, and, where appropriate, with the GDC or NHS complaints procedure. DentNow's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform itself is limited to the fees, if any, you paid to DentNow directly.

8. Dental practice accounts

Practices registering on DentNow must provide accurate, up-to-date information, including a valid GDC number, and are responsible for keeping their listed availability accurate. DentNow reserves the right to suspend or remove any Practice account that provides false information or breaches these terms.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, including submitting false information, attempting to disrupt the service, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
