DentNow ("we", "us", "our") operates www.dentnow.co.uk, a UK platform that helps patients find and book emergency dental appointments with independent, GDC-registered dental practices ("Practices"). 2. Information we collect

Contact details such as name, email, phone number and postcode. Booking details including appointment date/time, chosen Practice and reason for visit. Health-related information, such as symptoms or dental history you share with us or a Practice when booking. Practice account details, such as practice name, GDC registration number and staff contact details. Technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically when you use our site.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to match you with Practices that have relevant emergency availability, process and confirm your booking, communicate with you and the Practice about your appointment, verify dental practices' GDC registration before they can list availability, improve our service, and meet our legal obligations.

4. Our legal basis for processing

Contract: to provide the booking service you request. Consent: for health-related information, which we treat as special category data and only collect with your explicit consent. Legitimate interests: to keep our platform secure and improve our service. Legal obligation: where required by law.

5. Who we share your data with

The dental Practice you book with, so they can prepare for your appointment. Wix.com Ltd, our website hosting and booking-technology provider, which processes data on our behalf. Analytics or payment providers we use to run the site, once such services are enabled. We do not sell your personal data.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep booking and account data for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal or accounting requirements, typically no longer than 6 years after your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact hello@dentnow.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we have not handled your data properly.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including those provided by our hosting platform, to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Our service is intended for adults booking on their own behalf or for a child in their care. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children without parental involvement.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
